T. Janakiraman (1921-1982)
Kurinji Publications is happy to bring out in Telugu translation the short stories of T. Janakiraman, one of the major figures of the 20th century Tamil fiction. He is the author of one hundred stories, a dozen novels with the themes from urban middle class family life.
We start with four short stories.
We are hoping the readers – non-Tamils – would get a taste of his stories distinguished by vivid characterization, sparkling Tanjore dialect and events that brim with life.
I want to thank Mr. Kuzha Kathiresan of the Ainthanai Pathippagam, Chennai for the permission to translate these short stories.
