We present here a few stories by Abhuri Chaya Devi translated into English. Abhuri Chaya Devi has been described as the ‘grand young’ feints writer in Telugu and is the recipient of the Sahitya Academy award in 2005 for her short collection Tana Margam. Chaya Devi hails from a family that pioneered the romantic first and later the progressive literary movement in Telugu.
